Announcing our September Citrus County “Penny the Paper Peddler” Umbrella, Patricia Aguanno! Pat moved to Pinellas County FL from Massachusetts in 1959. She settled in Citrus County in 1996 and just loves it!
Pat loves to fish, exercise, work stained glass, take bus tours and cruise! She is enjoying retirement after her time working at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Pat picks up her Peddler's Post at Touch of Glass by Susan (you can find Susan in the classifieds) in Floral City, Florida or at Angelotti's Pizza in Inverness, Florida.
Pat says she likes everything about the post, especially the word search and GUS!
Fun Fact: When Gus was a little pup, he met Pat at Touch of Glass by Susan when we were delivering. Since then, we sometimes bump into her around in town and Gus just loves seeing her. The pups definitely had to come to this delivery!
Congratulations on your new umbrella Pat!
Thanks, Pudgee's for the dog friendly patio so we could let Gus see his friend Pat! You can tell by that Pitty smile, he really enjoyed it!
Meet Robert Romanowski our September Hernando County winner! He served our Roadways working for Yellow Freight Systems for 42 years.
Robert and his lovely wife started off as snowbirds visiting the Adventure Coast from Chicago and finally made it official in 2015 when they bought their home in Spring Hill.
Robert picks up his Peddler's Post at his local Winn Dixie. Robert is a simple man who likes to hang out around the house and can sometimes be found playing with his 1965 Chevelle SS 396 with a 4 speed that he is working to rehab.
It was great to meet you Robert! Thanks for playing! We hope you enjoy your new Umbrella!
.
Meet Pete Jackson our mail in Penny the Paper Peddler winner for September! We met us with him at Hernando Fresh Market to deliver the goods. Pete and I agree they have some yummy boiled peanuts!
Pete has been a resident of Citrus County since May 2023, coming from Kansas City Missouri. He sought out Citrus County looking for a better way of life with his lovely wife Jennifer!
Prior to his retirement Pete served our country for 39 years in the United States Army. The first 15 years of this time was spent in active duty. The latter Pete served as a civil servant where he was able to travel most of the northern hemisphere.
Since his time here has gotten to check out a lot of the waterways that make our community special. He has also found a few favorite breakfast spots in the community with Mama's Kuntry Kafe being the one where he picked up his Peddler's Post.
He likes the Peddler’s Post because of the humor and tone of the paper. Him and his wife enjoy reading the jokes together and laughing with each other. He also likes that we are neutral and stay away from politics and the like.
Pete is a super cool guy and will be a great addition to our already awesome community! Help me give a big welcome to Pete and Jennifer who are some of our new neighbors!
Meet Cheri Hecker our August Citrus County Winner. Cheri is a Florida Native born in Tampa, Florida at MacDill Air Force Base . She has lived all over Florida but settled in Citrus County in 1981. Cheri shared that her granddaughter helped her play the game but was as school today and could not accept it with her. Cheri shared that her granddaughter will be using the new "Penny, The Paper Peddler" umbrella as a beach umbrella. If you see Penny at the beach, it may just be Cheri's granddaughter who enjoys the wholesome fun of the Peddler's Post with her grandma!
Thats why we do what we do folks, it's all about the connection.
Thank you, Cheri and your granddaughter, for playing.
